The Madison Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is a non-profit foundation that will help build and operate a new rescue-friendly animal shelter for the city of Madison, Alabama. Madison ARF was founded by its Director, Miki Bennett, and is run jointly by Miki and volunteers.

In cooperation with Madison's Mayor Paul Finley, we are working to keep animals from being euthanized after seven days at Animal Control. Instead, Madison ARF steps in to find foster homes and eventually adoptive homes for these animals.

We emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering to control the population of unwanted pets. See the Spay/Neuter Action Project for discount certificates.

Our Mission

To Rescue as many homeless animals from the City of Madison, Alabama as possible. To develop an adoption program and spay/neuter program for the City of Madison. To build a new rescue-friendly animal shelter for the City of Madison that will accommodate future population growth, and promote a positive public image for the City.
