Moochie is well mannered and quiet, but extremely shy. She likes other cats but keeps to herself. She appreciates a human who will love her on her terms (as do all cats). At adoption events, Moochie responds warmly to little girls talking to her.

Sam is a "gentle giant". He weighs 75lbs and is just about 2 years old. He is big, friendly and loves to run and play! Sam is very sweet and loves to learn new stuff, too. He enjoys having his own chair outside and prefers it to the ground (yes, he's a bit spoiled :-).

Sam needs lots of exercise and really enjoys his daily walks and playing in a fenced in backyard. He loves kids, too. He has a very sweet temperament and will do very well in a family with kids who love to play with him.

Sam is a big dog and has lots of energy. He does need a firm hand with commands. Sam loves playing with toys and chewing on bones.

Little Boy is very shy in new/strange situations but he is very smart and a quick learner. He loves treats and playing with toys. He is crate trained.

Foster is sweet and playful yet calm and quiet. He loves to be with you and will burrow into you to get as close as possible. He is also a little shadow that will follow you everywhere. He even does a super cute happy circles dance when he is excited to see you and his little nub tail goes crazy.

Foster is quick to respond to training and corrections. He is currently learning to get over his initial dominance issues with other dogs and be a part of a pack. He tolerates children, but would do best in a home without small children.

Foster is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and does great riding in the car. Foster is a great little companion.

Rose has a beautiful personality to match her beautiful name. Affectionate and sweet, she loves to greet her people with a meow, a purr, and a swoosh of her tail. She enjoys having her head scratched, her back stroked, and her belly rubbed...indeed this girl has a truly loving and people-centered personality. Carl T is a brindle colored Lab mix; will sit, shake and stay upon command and is house broken. He is a loving and mannerly boy and has been fixed, given all shots and tested negative for heartworms. He loves to catch the ball and run back and forth across the yard with it. One of the things he loves to do is to turn on his back and let you rub his tummy. He also likes to sit next to you and get his head and around his ears rubbed. He will do this for an extended period of time. George is a sweet old man, looking for a family to spend his retirement years with. Coming from a history of being an outdoor pet, we are looking for a family that will allow him to be an indoor family member. Suffering from pain due to arthritis, George didn't move around a whole lot when he first came to MARF. On a strict regimine for pain management and inflammation control, George is now happy and healthy and enjoys his evening walks. He currently is dealing with common fatty tumors, but they will soon be removed. His bloodwork came back to show that he has no other health issues, and the veterinarian says that he has many more years to enjoy with his forever family. He is eager to learn, and loves to play fetch with the frisbee. He would benefit from a home with another outgoing dog, as he loves to run and chase. A large, fenced yard is desired for this little guy. He rarely barks, sleeps well in the crate at night, and is housetrained.

Baxter is such a sweet dog! He loves to run around a fenced in backyard for a while, then he'll bark 2-3 times to be let in. He loves his crate as long as he can see TV or hear a radio. Baxter really enjoys sleeping in his crate and will stay in there with or without the crate door opened as long as he has a toy, blanket, and chewbone. He will definitely tell you when he has to go outside. Baxter loves to look out windows too, just in case he misses anything. He doesn't bark often in the house - maybe once or twice to let you know he needs outside.

Baxter takes a little while to warm up to you but has shown no signs of agression. In the mornings he does like to eat 2 cups by himself in his own bowl rather than with the pack and will sometimes growl at them if they try to eat out of his bowl. This is nothing major and can be easily corrected with a little time and patience.

Baxter will be an ideal family member with older teens or adult children. He is a little leary of all the noise children make - not to the point of agression, but to the point when his little head hangs down and he puts his little tail between his legs. He does very well on a leash and njoys walks as long as it's not too hot. He does really well in a quiet or semi-quiet home, rather then a home with kids running in and out, dogs barkig, and cats meowing and lots of people in the houe.

Once you meet Baxter you'll see what a quiet, shy, but friendly doggie he is. Once he gets to know you he'll wag that tail of his in greating

Grommit is a talker, but only when necessary. He'll quickly tell you when his bowl is empty. His favorite past time is being in someone's lap. On the outset, he doesn't appear as assertive as his brother, but make no mistake that certain toys are HIS -- he'll let you know with an endless growl, but is not overtly aggressive. As you can see, I'm a beautiful girl. My human is moving out of state and can't take me, so I'm auditioning for a new human to serve me. I'm about 6 years-old and kinda shy until I get to know you. I need to live inside. I have no medical problems, am up to date on shots, and have been vaccinated for feline leukemia. Alfie is a purebred Newfoundland. He is 1 1/2 yrs old, roughly 125 lbs and 24 inches tall on all 4s. He is completely house broken, he knows how to sit, shake, and lay when told. Alfie is extremely gentle, loves kids, adults, and other animals. Alfie loves the water, but make sure you shower or bath with the door closed or he WILL try to get in with you! haha! Alfie does well during storms or fireworks and he only barks to greet you when someone comes in the house or to the door. He has never been aggressive at all and has never had a potty accident in the house. Alfie is very easy to brush and groom and loves it. He loves attention and affection and will do anything to please you. He is very protective of his family, but not aggressively so...for example, when the kids are playing outside, he is always there to make sure they do not fall or when my youngest goes up and down the stairs, he is right behind her as she goes up and right in front when she comes down, so he is a great nanny.
