Adoptions Coordinate pet adoption applications, contracts, veterinarian appointments, and foster homes. Coordinate and participate in pet adoption events. Note: If you want to adopt a pet rather than volunteer to help with adoptions, please e-mail adopt@madisonarf.org. Animal Rescue Coordinate foster homes for rescued animals. Transport animals from shelter to foster homes and veterinarians. Animal Shelter Care for animals at the shelter. Feed and exercise animals. Clean pens and cages. We'll need shelter help only after we build temporary shelter and eventually a permanent shelter. In the meantime, we will add you to our list of volunteers. Animal Shelter Planning and Construction Plan for short-term and long-term shelter structure. Participate in construction. Foster Care Keep and care for rescued animals in your home until they can be adopted. Fund Raising and Donations Coordinate monetary and non-monetary charitable donations. Coordinate fund raising campaigns and public events. Grant Procurement Research and apply for corporate and charitable grants to fund the animal shelter. Newsletter Pepare and distribute newsletter for general public, volunteers and benefactors. Public Awareness Coordinate public awareness campaigns (TV, newspaper, public speakers).
